For an in-depth understanding about our open textbooks, school principals and teachers are welcome to attend our seminars between February and April 2015. Participants will get some copies of ‘Open English’ textbooks for FREE.

In order to present Hong Kong’s first free of charge English Language open textbooks to Hong Kong schools, we will organize monthly seminars between February and April 2015 for school principals and teachers. Participants will receive some samples of the English Language open textbooks.
Our Project Leader, Dr Yuen Kin-sun, will present his view on eLearning and open textbooks in the Learning and Teaching Expo 2014. The project team will show the ‘Open English’ textbook series in booth H07. By visiting our booth, teachers can grasp some ideas of the content design and multimedia technologies of the ‘Open English’ series; receive souvenirs and some FREE copies of the textbook series; and MORE!

Monthly briefing sessions were organised by the ‘Open Textbooks for Hong Kong’ Project Team between March and July 2014, for Hong Kong schools to know more about the rationale behind ‘open textbook’. In March, 142 teaching staff from 91 local and Macau schools attended the briefing sessions.
