5 October, 2015 - 09:23

In some jurisdictions, an individual cannot respond to the defendant’s attack using excessive force under the circumstances. 1 For example, an individual cannot usedeadly force when the defendant initiates an attack using nondeadly force. If an individual does resort to deadly force with a nondeadly force attack, the defendant can use reasonable force in self-defense.
