Aristotle’s Posterior Analytics

Now that we know what things there are and how they behave, we need some means of assembling our knowledge of them into asystem. This system, as applied to the natural world, is what gets translated below as ‘science.’ As you read this, forget everythingyou’ve learned in science classes—this was written almost two millennia before Galileo, after all. What does Aristotle think a completedscience would look like? How does the scientist go about her work?
