The criminal intent element required for disorderly conduct in many jurisdictions is the specific intent or purposely to cause public inconvenience, annoyance, or alarm, or the reckless intent to cause a risk thereof. 1 The Model Penal Code has the same criminal intent requirement (Model Penal Code § 250.2(1)).
