Some jurisdictions have a requirement of corroborative evidence for perjury, which necessitates the testimony of two witnesses to support a conviction, similar to a treason conviction. 1 The Model Penal Code also has this corroborative evidence requirement (Model Penal Code § 241.1(6)).
