The survey process

The five steps in the organizational climate survey are:

  • Employees fill out surveys.
  • Managers fill out surveys.
  • An independent data-processing firm analyzes the responses.
  • Department heads review problems identified by the surveys and meet with their employees to review and discuss feedback, analyze problems, identify issues, and develop action plans that will resolve them.
  • Department heads meet with their supervisors to report progress toward dealing with the issues identified.
