STRUCTURAL POLICIES

4 November, 2015 - 11:33

Structural policies relate to the roles of the labor market and government in influencing the behavior of private industry. In the medium term, real wages are expected to decline, as employees accept lower wage settlements to avoid massive firings. Employer flexibility in substituting capital for labor is expected to increase. Governments are likely to assist businesses by using tax deductions to stimulate investment and lower relocation costs.
